Dr. Amanda Sayers was born in Bremerton, WA and raised in Dallas, TX. She received her undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of Washington. During this time, she completed a research apprenticeship at Friday Harbor Laboratories on San Juan Island, WA. She acquired her veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her clinical year at Purdue University. After graduating, Dr. Sayers worked in the Dayton/Cincinnati, Ohio area for 3 years. She recently returned to the Pacific Northwest, where she plans to reside long-term. Dr. Sayers is a member of the US Army Reserve as a field veterinarian and also volunteers locally for PAWteam to provide veterinary care to animals in need. Her hobbies include travelling, crafting, and outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, skiing and running. She lives in Portland with her 2 adorable rescue dogs.
